Momentus Software is currently seeking a Firmware Engineer for its development office in Vancouver, BC. This is a permanent and full-time position to the right candidate.

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a firmware engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing embedded systems software for a number of different platforms and projects. You'd be involved at levels of the process doing technical feasibility studies, component evaluation, implementing software at low level and also at system level.

It's a very dynamic position with lots of room to grow and learn new things.

You will work with a whole slew of different peripheral busses (I2C, SPI, I2S, USB, MIPI) and different wireless standards (Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC) and while we don't expect you to know them all we do expect you to be able to pick them up.

You'll be writing device drivers, custom MCU firmware and higher level user space components for ARM, Linux, MSP430 and other exciting architectures and platforms.

Experience is important but so is creativity and a can-do attitude.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Comfortable with C and C++.
• Experience working with the Linux kernel.
• Experience working with MCUs
• Mobile app development experience is a plus, so is JavaScript or other higher level technology.
